Dodge is known for it's Ram tough trucks. Anyone remember a certain 4 banger front wheel drive Dodge pickup truck called the Rampage? Now there's a real man's truck (sarcasm). They took the Charger (based upon the Dodge Omni) and made it into a truck. Shelby even did a special edition Rampage. Sing it with me, "those were the days".

Yep, I remember it. Kinda forgot about it 'til now, though. It was similar in form to the VW "pickup," being based on a fwd car, but didn't come with a diesel as I recall.
