Can I roof over the top of my existing roof?

For the car cut off the existing roof and replace with an unwarped piece from a salvage yard.

For the house I knew sombody that shingled his roof with discarded aluminum printing plates from a newspaper printer. Paid scrap prices for the metal. Very shiny roof. Some neighbors were annoyed.

i bought a grand am 2000 decent body but a tree damaged the roof and sun roof found a salvage yard said i could get the whole roof and sunroof for 200 and then il have to figure out how to install.i was told to cut out the roof skin from the bracket to the wind shield to the bracket of the back window and each brace to each side. and then set it in and spot weld .not sure how the back windows gonna come out it huge. do they make any kind off a plex aglass you can put in ??? thanks have a good day

Of all the threads in all the forums in all the internet, how did *this* disjointed mess get revived? I don't think we ever even found out if the OP was talking about houses or cars.

why would he want to remove the sunroof? this is weird, i went from page 1 where he was talking about a car roof, then bounced to page 2 where he is talking about a roof on his home.. is this OP making a joke?
