National Automobile Dealers Association wants an orderly closure of program and again expresses concerns that funds are running out.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The National Automobile Dealers Association is urging the federal government to begin shutting down the Cash for Clunkers program immediately.

I know a bunch of dealers in NY are giving up on it because they can't get the federal gov't to pay them in a timely manner. No surprise there.

They might be giving up dep[ending on hopw well financed the dealership is.That is because of the usual government ineffciency and delays caused by usual poor planning. Dealers here are still in the program and even taking orders for non-inventroy vehicles.
