I am asking this question because I have had several of my cars and former cars weighed ['66 Plymouth just weighed today] and am curious if others have done so.
Here are the actual weights of my cars, with no passengers...
'66 Plymouth Fury VIP [383]-------- 4,330 lbs.
'69 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham----- 5,060 lbs.
'76 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Limousine-- 6,040 lbs. [with floor jack in trunk]
'95 Lincoln Town Car Signature------ Not weighed yet
Former cars:
'66 Dodge Dart GT V-8-------------- 3,180 lbs.
'70 Cadillac Sedan de Ville----------- 4,920 lbs.
'71 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham----- 5,060 lbs.
I oncve wieghed my truck with the fifth wheel trailer hooked up; SURPRISE!, the whole thing weighed 21,180 pounds.
My truck is rated at 18,000 lbs GCWR.
Oh, well...

Wow, over by several thousand pounds. I hope that didn't cause any problems!
1984 S-10 shortbed reg cab with a 350 V8 engine...truck was a base model truck no options, and had an iron headed V8 with aluminum intake, no spare and 7 gallons of fuel - 2690 lbs. It was an all steel truck too. (no fiberglass)
1971 Chevelle 396 big block V8, bucket seats, no a/c or heat, no sound deadner, all steel body....3620 lbs.
1987 Buick Regal with turbo 3.8 V6 and full street trim: 3560 lbs.
OMG I have been through more weigh scales than I can remember with personal vehicles. Going to the dump, every single time, because they went by weight, not size of the load. Went there at least once a week for years. Checking weights on trailers for work (small 15' - 30' long tow behinds) before hitting the freeways.
Right now I have my old beater 3/4 ton Suburban and no matter what scale I go over, they give me empty readings of 7000# - 7200# depending on how full the gas tank is. (at 40 gallons it makes a couple hundred pound difference if full or empty). Pulling a trailer or with a bunch of stuff in the back I can easy top 9500#
Have a Jeep CJ-5 with a 360 V-8 and fiberglass body that tips the scales at 1950# with me in it.
Never had a car weighed, but never had a reason to. On a side note - its amazingly easy to overload a car - if you pay attention to the max load weights, anything more than two people and a couple bags pretty much maxes out the car.

Nope, no problems at all.
The really interesting thing is that in later years, with NO changes to the trucks, the GCWR was increased to 20,000 lbs, then 22,000 lbs.
Y'see, GCWR is a marketing tool, created by an engineering SWAG in collusion with the marketing executives to make the trua\cks look good in comparison with the competition.
How do you get your vehicle weighed? Will the weigh anything at the weigh stations?
I went over to a recycling center place. You just drive up onto the scale which is in front of a small building/office. Then I walk up to the window and ask for the weight reading, pay $5.00 and am done. Takes only a few minutes unless someone is ahead of me.
I guess they will weigh anything which could be put on the scale.
Some moving companies and most truck stops have commercial scales, too. Last time I had to weigh, it cost me $8.00 at a truck stop.
