I had seen a 73 Buick Centurion in my neighborhood a few years ago. At a light it moved up and down you could see the big gap between the tires and chassis. Wonder what the contraption the driver was using. I never cared for the Centurion, there was something pointless about it. Kind of silly to pretend that a car weighing almost 5000 lbs could be sporty. The LeSabre was more down to earth

I constantly see Donks "round these here parts."

It appears to me that the car of choice is an early-mid 70s full-sized GM. Apparently, the bigger the better. So a 73 Centurion seems to fit that bill quite nicely.

But I'm with you on the pointlessness of it. Most of these guys can barely turn their front wheels without them rubbing. And the money they have in just the wheels and tires is astounding.

But... To each his own.

I am a big fan of the early 70s Buicks, but like you, I never cared for the Centurion line, but many do. My pick would be a loaded up Electra. I miss my 72. I would even prefer a LeSabre over a Centurion... but a LeSabre Custom please... had more "charm" than the standard LeSabre.

There is a guy with a local 73 LeSabre sedan (base model) for sale for $750. Has only about 60K miles... I would not mind having it, but too many projects going on. If it were a 71-72 LeSabre Custom, I would reconsider. lol.

MY Father had 1 of these cars. I use to borrow it, 455 4-barrell, I would flip the lid on the air breather and that thing would hall arss

My Father would get extremally upset if I had forgot to re-flip the cleaner

Default I could see the point

if a customer did not like the styling of the Riviera but didn't like the conservatism of the LeSabre either--they might find Centurion intriguing

a few days ago i drove in back of a beige 75 Electra and i was thinking of how Buick stylists after 73 made the car look less aggresive and shark-like.
