I read some reviews about the seats being uncomfortable, but I figured I don't do much long-term driving and I bought an 09 Accord anyway. Let me tell you, it's no joke. My back has been in knots since I got the car.

I wish I had gotten a Nissan. I wonder if the loss I'd take on trading it in would be less than what I'll spend on seat cushions and therapy for my back.

interesting. i have issues with my wife's 04 Accord causing my right shin to hurt like heck. that's mainly because i have really long legs and the center bezel/console doesn't let me bend my leg to a comfortable position.

That's about the only thing I miss in my old Taurus, the thing felt like a sofa

I'd say try one of those massaging seat covers they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond and places like that.

Do you sit on your wallet? I'm being serious.
I have the same issue with my right leg hitting the console in my wife's 02 Taurus.

Car seats are lot like mattresses - you usually have to spend the night in one before you really know it.

My wife has refused to buy an Accord twice because of the seats... she like the seats in our Maxima and was very happy with BMW seats.

An Accord is not a luxury car. I like seats in Aston Martin's but I am not going to buy one for the seats.

Regardless of the car, I always use a wood bead seat cover, makes my typical 2 hour rides no issue at all. Longer rides haven't been a problem either.

You tried the car before you bought it didn't you?

BMW Sport seats are the best ones for me, I can drive forever sitting in those things.
