The Japanese and Germans make some nice machines, but most of them just seem to lack the character and soul from cars made in the countries stated above
I will NEVER buy another Detroit or European car. These days, reliablility is my number one concern over all else, and ONLY the Japanese and Korean companies build reliable cars. The good news is, many of these great cars are built here in the USA by hard working people that don't have a union to bring down the work quality, or the finances of the motor company.

I must have missed that memo. My last Japanese car was supposed to the highest quality Japanese car at the time, the NSX. Sold after a year of $4200 in repairs.
My handmade, British Lotus. Zero problems in 4 years. How could that have happened? Maybe one day Japanese quality was superior to American/European makes, but not anymore. GM/Chrsyler still have some quality issues they need to work out, but Ford has surpassed the Japanese. There are too many European car OEMs with higher quality than the Japanese OEMs to even list. Old myths die hard.
