I have several. Of late, I have really liked the new (to me?) category of plane called VLJ (very light jet). I've just seen some very sleekones, and they look fun to fly. This is an Eclipse 500.
Back when I was a kid, I made a yearly journey in summer from O'Hare to Muskegon, MI, via Air Wisconsin (usually). The airplane was a De Havilland Dash 7.
These days, I love seeing a DC-6 still in the air.
Hmmm. Well, I have liked the DC-9 for many years. Not the sexiest, not the fastest, not the quietest, but for plain old reliability for a small to mid sized market pax aircraft - it was a reliable performer. 727, 737, came close, too. They were never fighters - and for fighters, I tend to like the WW2 generation - some marvelous airframes there. But DC-9, 727, 737, were pax aircraft, first and foremost. The DC-9 was mechanically superior, the Boeings had better interior design. Wonderful planes.
