The transponder either has been turned off as at 37,000 ft shouldn't the plane remain on radar as long as it physically exist? I doubt a missile has brought it down as the flight didn't pass over any active warzone though nowadays anythings possible.

It's just now being reported and it disappeared two hours ago? Forget what I said if this is the case. My Breaking News app is late on this and CNN is as well.

They broke into MSNBC to cover this live. Search and rescue on their way. Plane disappeared 10 miles outside of Egyptian airspace, where the plane should be been starting its descent.

It's all speculation at this point though.

Have good thoughts for those on board. I know it's not likely to have a good outcome but it never hurts to try to put some positive energy out there.
