It's a useful comparison. Whether the stuff you loft into LEO is expected to stay there or whether it's propellant for a TLI burn, it has to be brought to orbit first.

And Saturn V was indeed used for an orbital mission - Skylab.

How easy was it to get men on the moon back then and the theories that we never went to the moon.

I was told at our local planetarium, that one of the main missions of Artemis is to establish a lunar colony and eventually launch missions from there to Mars. Very exciting, in my 40s now but I hope to live long enough to see a lot of this actually happen (knock on wood).

Hopefully, we don’t destroy the moon a-la HG Wells The Time Machine.
