The property I recently purchased is directly adjacent to a wooded area. The wooded area extends approx 200 ft or so along the street. There is a grass strip between the street and sidewalk along the entire street, including in front of the wooded area.
Am I responsible for mowing the grass strip between the street and sidewalk only along my property line? I am not sure if it is my responsibility or the county's to mow the strip along the wooded area. I assume the wooded area belongs to the county, but am not certain.
Thanks for any insight.

Note: this is in Baltimore County- couldn't find anything on their website.

Why would you be responsible for mowing property you don't own?

The grass strip may well be in the right of way (streets rarely go from line to line) and be public property.

If you want to cut it go ahead.

Check out this website for Baltimore county land searches. Sweet little website with tons of info. It should help you at least find out who owns the property in question.
