Very interested in attending this year. Information seems to be sparse in terms of tips. Who has been and what do you recommend?

Thanks!

I guess big questions:

are the paddock passes worth it?

whats the drinking environment like? I live in White Marsh, is this going to an event i am not going to want to drive to? Rather cab/get dropped off/light rail?

How disruptive is the event for day-to-day life in the city? I have orientation at the JHU medical campus on the 29th and 30th, and will be taking the JHU shuttle from Peabody. Will the detours and traffic impact traffic along Charles/St Paul and Orleans?

What about getting around on Saturday and Sunday? I'm not worried too much about parking since I won't have a car. I'm more worried about light rail service to/from Hunt Valley, and possibly taking the circulator/walking to get to Harbor East from Mt Vernon. I'm fully prepared for a little extra walking, just want to know if it's worth trying to run errands, or should I just shelter in place

It's disruptive if you are trying to drive through downtown. Other than that, no problem.

That's right. Everyone who attends walks there. No traffic at all.

No change of service has been posted yet regarding the Hopkins shuttle. Sometimes when traffic is bad, after the Peabody stop, they turn onto Center St to Monument then stop at Broadway.
