We lived in Baltimore (Reservoir Hill) for a couple of years, had to move away for family reasons, and plan to move back next year, and want some ideas where to look this time.

We're a middle-aged, childless pair of homebodies who both telecommute. I'm looking for a rowhouse or SFH with 3 bdrms, CAC, a finished basement, deck, and a tiny bit of yard for veggies and herbs, under 225k a must, under 200 a major bonus. A park or library within walking distance would be good for my husband, an off-street parking spot would be good for me if it's possible.

I have a slight preference for county over city, but I'd be okay with either. I want somewhere without a ton of flipper activity (let's say I've had some really bad experience with this) where property values are pretty stable, strong sense of community a big plus, convenient to highways a nice to have.

Loch Raven Village and Knettishall check a lot of my boxes but they're also on the top of our budget. Where else should I look that might not be on my radar? Saw a RH that hits almost everything on my wish list for a great price in New Northwood, is that a possibility? Waltherson/Hamilton looks like a maybe as well, but that whole area seems like it's flipper central and might rise in price too fast.

Have you looked at Original Northwood?

Original Northwood

Very underrated neighborhood that was created by the Roland Park company. You can find a townhouse or detached for under 225k. Its nice and quite with perfect yards to grow plants and herbs. Its also walking distance to Lake Montebello and I think a library is near by.
