I was told they played his "A hunting we will go" whistle at the beginning of the Ravens Chiefs Game? I wonder if he will become the default Baltimore icon much like Rocky montage is played before Eagles Games...

I went to the game, but I missed that part. I hope that it does become a permanent part of the Ravens intro.

There is a video on instagram that shows it... It would be kind of cool.. At any rate, I saw a documentary called Black Market that was hosted by him back in 2015. I had never heard of the series but it involved him going to places where the Black Market was thriving.. I havent watched all the episodes, but he was interviewing car jackers in Newark NJ and Fisherman who were Poaching in South Africa. Seemed like a great series that mirrored his character on The Wire who operated in the shadow drug market. I later learned that they revived the series earlier this year and wrapped up right before his death.. I am sure that will give it added attention.

The one episode that was a harbinger of his fate was one where he was following around Drug Addicts in London.. who were shoplifting for a reason and selling the products for drugs.. Throughout the series he made it clear to the people he was interviewing that he was not judging them because he too had battled addiction.

I believe I heard on the news that the "omar whistle" will become part of the Ravens opening.. So we have our "Rocky" just like the Eagles now...I have to admit.. The way Philly wraps themselves up in Rocky is pretty cool.. The eternal underdog with a chip on his shoulder fight for the rep of his City... it pretty much fits Philly with the exception that Rocky is a "gentle giant" while Eagles fans are often straight up Bullies.. though they have toned it down a bit since they left the Vet...

Four charged in drug death of The Wire actor Michael K Williams.
Investigators have obtained surveillance footage of the men allegedly selling drugs to Williams on the street the day before he was found.
They allegedly continued to sell the drugs at residences in Manhattan and Brooklyn even after they learned that their drugs had killed Williams, officials say.

The four men are accused of narcotics conspiracy. Police say they sold drugs laced with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid blamed for thousands of drug deaths.

Woow..its sad but ironic that he played that type of flawed but sort of likeable gangster with a Code and lived that same life (absent the violence) in real life with the main victim being himself. I remember watching him on the TV Show Community when he played a Science Professor who obtained his PhD in prison...classic.. He will be truly missed.
