The general whine I hear about him is that he hasn't done something about X...
when no Mayor can have any meaningful effect on those issues; maybe never could.

I hope he and Bates are serious about working together despite Bates endorsing his opponent. The City now has a serious States Atty.. a Sheriff that also seems to want to lower crime, and a Govenor who has expressed interest in working with the Mayor and SA or lowering crime and the Feds have a good working relationship with the SA.. If there was ever a good opportunity to tackle crime its here and now. I dont know what influence this alliance has on the elected Judges.. as I think they play a critical role as well though its one that is not often discussed.
