On a related note, I see the cover shows a youthful Mayor Scott rolling out a recycling bin for a woman who appears older than him....nice photo. I noticed the bars on the window and doors on the homes behind them. I couldnt help but wonder if wrought iron bars and doors a sign of security issues or are they now just an architectural feature like formstone and marble steps?
Iron bars are the common unfortunately. Some have pretty designs.

This guy could not mayor himself out of a wet paper bag. He states his crime plan is working but crime continues to raise and the murder numbers keep going up. Unless his crime strategy is let all the thugs kill each other and eventually all the bad guys will be dead, crime problem solved.

But he's laughing all the way to the bank with his $199,044 salary!

He basically "won the lottery" winning the mayoral election, I wouldn't pay him more than $60,000 a year and that's being generous.

I wouldn't pay him more than $20,000 a year, and that is with no benefits.

Sad, but true, the bar for being Baltimore's mayor is set pretty low!

That's why I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually gets indicted down the road for doing something stupid, like taking bribes/kickbacks, because we all know living on $200k a year isn't what it used to be.

That's not entirely true. There has been certain crimes that have decreased, but still more than the national average.

I do not see Mayor Brandon Scott following the
path of a Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick.
He is highly organized and alert. What happened
to the previous Mayor and the Kilpatrick debacle
should deter Mayor Scott from corruption. I
personally do not believe he has the spirit of
corruption. The pressure comes from earnest
ambitions being dampened by those entities
who constantly remind you that your power is transient
and theirs is permanent
