It looks like they were filming in the arts district.

There some serious victim blaming going on here.

I happen to agree the movie company likely lacked situational awareness.

If it did happen, did it happen as reported? Where is security?
Did the PC see any episodes of The Wire? Baltimore is dangerous
and they paid the price with lax security.
Ha! That's absurd! But, that's the city leadership. The city is run like a third world country. Thugs and scum rule.

The production company did see The Wire,
so it seems.
They are from the land of make-believe
so it's not a stretch to believe that they
made up that incident.

the reason this is allowed to happen? Start here

Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby lost her reelection bid to defense attorney Ivan Bates in the Democratic primary after she was indicted by a grand jury on federal charges alleging that she used coronavirus hardship as a reason to take money out of her city retirement account. Baltimore has had a crook in charge of the prosecutorial response to crime and criminals for more than 5 years. She's been a nightmare.

I remember going to baseball games in DC and parking on a street in the neighborhood. There was usually one of the local kids there to ask you if you wanted him to keep an eye on my car for $5 bucks. Money well spent.

Not sure if they were lying, but $50,000 is a drop in the bucket VS moving the whole thing somewhere else. The cost of filming any movie is astronomical.

Hmmmmm better ask the gangbangers for an invoice though... need to write it off properly.
