It seems reasonable to seek compensation when a high budget Hollywood movie is shot on your turf. Just think of all the lost revenue in sales when a movie trailer blocks your street corner and with all the security and law enforcement guarding the movie set scaring away your clientele.

Threatening with violence is just not the way to go .

I don't think anyone "allows" people to manufacture flagrant lies about being threatened and getting law enforcement involved.
