Just read through some restaurant posts for good local eats. not a lot about sushi places. We went to a place at the inner harbor but i forgot the name, it;s right next to the Whole Foods and it was really good. Any other ideas for good (reasonably priced) sushi in other neighborhoods like PP, Canton or Mt vernon. I saw a XS sushi i think it was right next to my school anyone been there? Also anyone eaten at that "Three" restaurant at the North East end of Patterson park?

There are three good sushi places down in Federal Hill. One is in the Cross Street Market, while the others are on either sides of it on the same street. One is right next to the Market while the other is higher up on the street across the street from the CVS.

I like Matsuri in Federal Hill -- if you're not in the mood for sushi, they also have a very good yakitori beef.

In addition to Matsuri and Nick's in Cross St. Market, I'd also recommend Niwana at the corner of 33rd and Charles next to JHU. Inexpensive and very good.

If you're at UB, there's also a new place called Aloha Tokya on Charles near the school where Cobber's used to be. I think they have another location in Locust Point. Haven't been there yet.

Depending if your after America's version of sushi, or the REAL DEAL.

If you want the REAL experience... you will have to take a trip out into the county,

take orleans street west, it merges into 40, and drive that right into Ellicott city.

There are LOADS of sushi joints there as well as asian supermarkets

Default Real Sushi?

I would assume I've only had Americanized sushi. What would the real deal be? What differences would that consist of?

Talking Americanized sushi???

I tried my heart out to enjoy it (Americanized or not). Tastes like bait to me, although it looks nice and appetizing. My opinion is that it belongs on a fish hook...
