Hi, my husband is possibly being relocated to Baltimore. He will be working in the city. We have an 8 year old and 2 year old. I am a Pre-K teacher for children with Autism. I just don't know where to begin. What I have read sounds like the northern suburbs are good. I just need some starting points on areas for schools, good neighborhoods, and any possible jobs for myself. My son also plays on a travel baseball team so any helpful tips for a good baseball league would be great!

The best schools in the Baltimore metro area are due north of the city in the Central area. Top elementary schools are: Riderwood, Hampton, Jacksonville, Carroll Manor, Stoneleigh, Rodgers Forge, Lutherville, and others going north to the PA line. Unfortunately most of the schools on the east and west side of Baltimore county are not so great, with a few exceptions here and there. Your best bet is to stick in the central region (Towson, Timonium, Hereford), or the Perry Hall/Nottingham area is ok as well.
