You can still buy good homes, for under 100k, on great blocks that will definitely take off in the next few yrs if they haven't already. The neighborhood has some of the most unique architecture in the city and is bordered by one of the largest parks(Druid Hill) in the city to the north and the great neighborhood of Bolton Hill to the south. Station North is east and Penn-North borders on the westside. Pennorth is also undergoing some development, a new affordable market rate development is moving ahead as planned. Scenic boulevards include Eutaw, Madison, and Park streets.
The next Bolton Hill if it can really take off. And considering the jewish community is starting to move into the neighborhood, it's very possible. I hope to live in that area one day, especially eutaw.

Hey man come on through there are still several classic brownstones and victorians available for around about 200k. There are also condos that go for less than 30k and affordable apartments all over the neighborhood.

No kidding? Few more years. How is the synagogue? Is it active in the community?
