My 17 year old daughter and I will be going to Baltimore next weekend for my 40th b-day. We will be staying at the Kimpton on Charles St and I guess it is a couple of blocks from the Inner Harbor.
I am wondering if there is a good dinner place near this hotel. Per the hotel reviews the restaurant is not the best for the price, and apparently the area is not the best to walk around at night. I do not really want to go to a chain, but something good.
Any help will be appreciated!

In a word, no. You should be willing to invest in a cab ride. Much of what's within a short walk is lunchtime fare and it doesn't sound like you want to walk 3-4 blocks. I'm inclined to send you north to Mount Vernon - many of your best options are ethnic, though Sotto Sopra or Sascha's might also appeal. You might find what you need around the Inner Harbor (like Fogo de Chao or some other chain), or even (horrors) at Power Plant Live. Cabbing east to Harbor East also brings some better options.

Thanks for the info; I really dont mind walking, as long as it is safe.

Both of those restaurants look like they have great menu's! That is exactly what I am looking for. Definitely do not want a Fogo de Chao or CPK or anything like that.

Thank you, also, for the link.
