Will be relocating to Bangor. Looking for advice on apartments....single, no kids. Looking to stay under $700/month. I'll be working at WVII so I'd prefer an easy drive to work.

I'm not familiar with the area at all, so advice on supermarkets, doctors, restaurants, anything at all, would be greatly appreciated.

Under $700 a month is not the easiest apartment search. My dh and I just went through a search in the Bangor area. We looked at many apartments. What are you looking for? One bedroom, two bedrooms? Heat included? Off street parking? If you can provide more information I might be able to help you a little more.

I think the most affordable apartments are to be found after you get here, by driving around neighborhoods and looking for signs. I don't know if those folks with the signs I see advertise, but I am thinking not.

I am working in Bangor now, so when I come and go if I see a sign with a phone number I will DM it...

Just need one bedroom...it's only me. I'd love one off street parking spot but it's not necessary. Want to be in a good, safe area and also be close to WVII so I don't have a long drive to work when it's snowing.
