Every team in the division has a winning record and the shocking stat is that the Phillies are in last place. Most knew the Phillies wouldn't be dominating due to Howard and Utley being out but no one expected them to be in the last place. Looking at the standings now, the Nats and Braves are fighting for 1st place and the Mets and Marlins have looked very good this season.
One more shocking thing about the Phillies season is that "Doc Halladay" has a record of (4-5) and lost his last 5 starts. It's about time all the other NL teams became competitive because for years it was only the Phillies and no other team was no where near them in the standings.
Far from being MLB's best division, no team in the NL East is exceptional. The Braves, Marlins and Nationals look like little better than .500 teams and the Phillies' issues probably make them about that level as well.

You said they will be but when is it supposed to start? Because they look like they are getting better each week as we move along in the season.
BTW: It's funny how every time Halladay gets rocked it has something to do with a injury. It can't mean that he is in decline

No, the Mets, along with the other 4 , will all be .500 or more. Its not week 2, we are now 30% complete, and every teams full roster has been used, plus injury call ups.

As for the Phils, clearly Hamels is the ace now.
Yup because the Phils only seem to win when Hamels is pitching. And I agree about the other teams, they have all shown they have improved and the division will now be competitive now unlike

30 whole percent huh
I still expect the Mets team to go all Ruben Tejada any minute

And why is that? You see how they battled the Phillies yesterday even in a loss. The score was 4-4 in the 8th inning. The 2009 Mets would not have had a game like that. The team is hitting better and pitching better
