According to Baseball Reference, through 2012, Jones has been paid just under 107 million dollars in his MLB career.
Unless Andruw has a pre-nup, this assault is really going to cost him.
I checked Georgia law and while it is not a community property state, it is an equitable property state which calls for a a reasonable split, typically 50/50, of all property acquired during the marriage. Jones earned 82.2 of his 107 million bucks during the ten years of their marriage.
I also noted that Andruw wound up with perhaps the best looking mugshot I've ever seen. Typically these perp pix show the celebrity looking disheveled and embarrassed, holding up that little slate with their name and newly assigned case number. But Andruw looks no worse for wear at all.

One thing being forgotten is that he signed with a Japanese club for the upcoming year. Do you think that factored in at all to the fighting? Obviously alcohol was a major factor.
I doubt MB walks away from this one, given his history both on and off the field.
