The Giants hoped that two months of Carlos Beltran would boost them to the NL West title in 2011.

It actually should not matter. Whether Wheeler is good or bad, he won't be doing it for San Francisco, that ship has sailed. Whether he is good or bad won't alter the past, the two months of Beltran still will not have worked out for the Giants.

But emotionally......I will sort of keep hoping that Wheeler is a bust.
