LOL, I would say the Phils have been eliminated for the next three seasons. The other teams in their division are doing a good job of developing young players, not the Phils.

That being the case, how about this weekend you guys use only your September call ups against the A's? They could use the experience and the A's could use a break.

I am yet to see what the Atlanta Braves can do with players developed in their farm system. Players up through the system should be making huge impacts, not tanking it, at season's end.

I'd expect you'd have better results against the regulars who were the ones mostly responsible for the lousy record.

Atlanta is having a disappointing season, but over the years they have been one of the top organizations for developing home grown players.

New owner? Howard gone? Utley to 1st base? Possibly trading Hamels?

Looks like big changes are being made this off season.

Yea, the window has closed with this lineup. They need to start getting rid of those guys with big price tags and bring up or sign new, hungrier talent.

If the Bucs don't re-sign Martin, there's a chance (albeit small) they try to acquire Chooch. I think they might try to pry Rene Rivera from Pads due to low cost, but $17mil for 2 years for a solid defensive catcher is something Bucs can afford and might appease fans who will be in total meltdown.

According to reports, David Montgomery will no longer be the President. Pat Gillick will probably not be back as President either.
Cole Hamels will probably be traded.
Ryan Howard will probably be gone, even if they have to eat his contract.

They will probably be bad for a few years to come.

If the Phillies trade Papelbon, Ruiz, and Howard I think that is a good start.
