Saw that online a few minutes ago, sure is a surprise to see him pass away at such a young age.

RIP, Jose.

Lima Time is over way too soon.

I always liked the way he pitched, and he would have been an instant favorite had he ever pitched for the DBacks. Obviously, I never met him, but he seemed like a passionate and energetic person. I'm sure his family and friends will miss him immensely.

RIP Mr. Lima

I have a Jose Lima story I would like to share. My son was competing in the Pitch, Hit & Run competition at Dodger Stadium when he was 14. The competition happened immediately after a Dodger game. The family members of the children competing were seated in the front rows near the infield to watch our children compete.

When most of the Dodgers were in the locker room showering after their game, Jose Lima was still in full uniform mingling at the rail with the family members that were there watching their kids compete. My then 16 year old daughter actually had a lengthy conversation with Jose Lima. My daughter was so excited to have that conversation with him, that Lima immediately became her favorite Dodger.

This weekend she approached me with the news of his death, she was obviously saddened to hear he had passed on.

RIP Jose Lima

He's still missed in Houston. But it's just unbelievable for him to go at such an early age. This well may be the most shocking sports passing of the year.

What we'll all miss is his passion for life and for the game. You saw it every time Jose took the mound, whether you loved him or hated him. He created a lot of excitement in any game he played. It was always Lima Time in baseball.

Rest in peace, Jose. There will be never be another.

Mr. Lima is teaching everyone in heaven how to do the "Salsa."

Watched him as a Tiger, loved every minute of it.

It's Lima time.......
