1. When a player fouls a guy and then raises his arm up in the air to say it was him, WHY?
2. When a player is on the floor covering a loose ball and another player jumps on top of him trying to force a jump ball, why is this not a foul?
3. When a player for a certain team falls on the floor and 3 of his teammates run fast to pick up him, WHY?
4. When a player is on a 3 on 1 break and dishes the ball to another player before running into another player, why is it a offensive foul if he no longer has the ball?
5. Why do some players go for a 3 pointer late in the game when the game is tied when only a two is needed? Example, Dirk's 3 attempt when the score was tied late in Game 2
1. NBA has dramatics/acting to get the call they want.
2. The player doesn't have full possession in majority of cases where you see this; a no-call since both players are given an opportunity to get the ball. When the player has possession, it is normally called.
3. It's part of being a teammate.
4. The same reason why you can't do a moving screen; you take a defensive player out of the play.
5. Don't know why players choose that.
The question I don't understand is...
Why doesn't the NBA analyze questionable plays in which a player "acting" or flops so they get the call correct? And why doesn't the NBA fine players for doing this?
1. NBA has dramatics/acting to get the call they want.
2. The player doesn't have full possession in majority of cases where you see this; a no-call since both players are given an opportunity to get the ball. When the player has possession, it is normally called.
3. It's part of being a teammate.
4. The same reason why you can't do a moving screen; you take a defensive player out of the play.

1. This usually happens when the foul could be called on either of two players on the same team. Sometimes it is advantages for one player and not the other to receive the foul. Ex: Kobe has five fouls with three minutes left; Luke Walton has no fouls. They both make a rough defense play on someone and the whistle blows. Walton raises his hand immediately.

Number 4 happened tonight. One of the Heat players was driving to the basket and dished the ball to the wing man and when he ran into the guy the ball left his hands 5 mins before that and they called offensive foul

You can't run another player over when they have established position no matter if you have the ball or not...
illegal screens (Lamar Odom's hard screen that got him tossed out game 4 of the mavs series), or when a players barrells over the screener. That's essentially what is happening when a players dishes the rock before running over the defender that has established position.
