Yeah, an elite QB is an ok comparison to an elite nba player, but elite qbs might go there whole career with no SB, its pretty rare for a true top elite player to go a career without a title. It has happened, but in the nfl, the list of great players who never won is way more impressive than the nba

The list of great QBs without a ring I think is comparable to that of the NBA superstars w/o ring... There really arent as many great QBs without rings as u might think. that's part of what makes them great...
Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and Dan Fouts...
BBall super stars... Barkley, Ewing, Gervin, Malone, and Iverson.
Right, maybe the QB to all players is comparable. Now get a list of all time good WRs, DEs, LBs, etc that don't have a ring. So the nba is like having an historically elite QB in the draft every year -it's just not the same

Apples to apples... Superstar QB to Superstar NBA any position.
The other positions in football don't have the same impact as QBs. All NBA positions have impact on the game (they all score, they all play defense, and it's only 5 positions). There are 33 positions in football. Besides QB, The rest of Football positions are all role players essentially. Sure u have exceptions. But that's in anything. this is why QBs go #1 almost 3 times more likely than any other position.
So u have to compare the QBs... DE's are like a Bruce Bowen in basketball. It doesn't equate. but if u are talking top draft pick impact... U are talking QBs. And superstar quality generally.
Hence my whole argument
You all can keep trying to separate it... But it's obvious I have a case. Not saying you all have to agree with my position but to say I have no case is simply not being honest in the evaluation.
Exponentially better than the year before... And in case you don't know what that means. They won 3 times as many games. Scored more than twice as many points. Had over 2K more yards! But yea one player doesn't matter...
Just quit while ur ahead. You have already lost this one. Let it go.
In the famous words of Kenny Rogers... know when to fold them!
Now get back go to discussing B-Ball...
I guess you have to be a special quarterback to lead your team to a 6-10 record.
Ric Bucher was asked his opinion on this on Mike and Mike. He pointed out that there were multiple parties interested in purchasing the Hornets, so it's not like the #1 pick needed to be thrown in as an incentive. He also said that the NBA has moved past the stage where rigging is necessary for creating a viable product. Ewing to the Knicks may have been fixed, but it did wonders for that franchise and the league as a whole. The Knicks didn't win a title with Ewing, so it matters much less. And no one was getting past MJ, anyway.
