It was a HUGE mistake. I agree with you, they will probably avg around 70 ppg next year. Who's their best scorer Jason Richardson?? That's pathetic, and they go out and get a defensive specialist, who's probably not going to produce much for at least a year or two. How could anyone be happy with this trade, Philly is going to be one of the worst teams in the NBA next year by far.
That may be true but we have great fans that will cheer the team on anyway.

That's what they might be hoping for, but look at the NBA champs, and look at the Wizards, the Wizards and Bobcats have been in the lottery or high draft picks forever how are they doing? Other than OKC who has built a great team through the draft recently? Is there a guaranteed Kevin Durant in the draft next year? Or a crippled Greg Oden?
You need a superstar in the NBA, the Sixers need to make themselves relevant so they can land a FA, another thing is this, its not like Jrue Holiday is making a ton of money and is in his 30's, the Celtics dumped an old Pierce and Garnett, but they still have Rondo. The Sixers right now have nothing, the only thing I'm hoping for is something is going to happen in FA, to me is has to, you can't throw away years in the NBA especially in Philly where the Sixers have been 4th for long enough when it comes to the 4 teams.

I will, even with Kwame Brown, but you have to remember Josh Harris is losing money each year with the Sixers, overall the team is an investment and he will make money but most rich people don't like losing, whether its games or money. The NBA is the hardest of the big four sports to get better, whether its a bad draft pick, Evan Turner, bad FA signing, Bynum. Bad moves can set you back years, getting rid of an all star, a young one at that might be a big mistake.

The Sixers might actually drop to the 5th spot as the Philadlephia Union(MLS) are poised to make a deep playoff run this year.

Yes they will be As a fan though I am actually excited (not for a crap year this year) but the possibility of being good two three years out
The were NOT going anywhere this year with whatever they had
Now they get young, have picks, cap space and to me a future, something I was really unsure about just a week ago. I am happy with the move
I don't like the Asik rumors, just because the Astros picked up the Phillies trash, doesn't mean the Sixers need to take out the Rockets trash, especially since we already already have a garbage man at center.

A few teams won't mind stinking it up next season for the potential to get the #1 pick in 2014. Many say next years draft is loaded with talent and having multiple picks will be a good thing.
I'm a Bobcats fan by default, being the local team, so in 2014-15 I'm raising expectations as the current group of young players will have plenty of experience and we are getting some nice picks for next seasons draft, plus we will likely suck again this coming season and be in the running for the top pick. When you are in a small market like Charlotte you have to build through the draft, no big time FA is coming here unless a winner is in place and they can be the piece that gets them a ring.
