That was pretty damn quick. Bynum is the most overrated player in the league and we have seen the best of him already. He's a lazy, lead-legged guy profiting off what people think his potential is. The 76ers made a huge mistake getting him, and now the Cavs are cursed with this mope. It will be interesting to see how it turns out but my expectations are extremely low regarding what Bynum can do for any team. I think we'll finally get to see this man's severe limitations while playing for the Cavs, and that will be the end of his NBA run.
Didn't anyone run a health report on this man? He has degenerative knees his career is pretty much over. We will never see Bynum at 100% ever again. Sadly, he was just reaching his peak right before the Lakers traded him off to the Sixers. The Cavs were doing a great job with their rebuilding efforts, until they made this signing.

Mavs and Hawks balked at giving him a deal because of his health. The Cavs aren't giving him all guaranteed money, it is completely incentive laden.

The cavs are one of the worst run teams in the NBA.
The only thing they do successfully is gather lottery balls with 20 win seasons.
I don't see the big deal. Only $6m of the contract is guaranteed, and the second year is a team option. At worst, he'll supplement Zeller's development.

Then Bynum was a good pick up. Does anyone know about Anderson Varajao's health/status? If Bynum is one of the most overrated players, Varajao is one of the most underrated. He helps you win games with his energy, defense and rebounding. If these two centers are able to play this year, I think the Cavs should make the playoffs.

According to Skip Bayless.
As hesitant as teams have been with him it does seem like there might be something to that though.

Prior to his injury, I think he was one of the top 2 centers in the league and certainly not overrated.
He may be done now, however.
