Could care less about the 2-2-1-1-1 format. I just want it to be best of 5 for all the early rounds and save best of 7 for the Conference and Finals. Its way too long and makes the off-season way too short.

I hate the 2-3-2 format. So I'm glad its being changed. But I am with you on the length of the earlier rounds. I'd also add an every other day game schedule. I get it. It's all about TV. But often the league will have a three day break in the middle of a seven game series. That's insane.

I don't necessarily 'like' the 2-3-2 as it gives the road team a serious advantage if they manage to split the first two games( no-one told the 91 Bulls that though ), but that's going to be some crazy logistics( not to mention jet lag) flying two teams on opposite coasts back and forth over a fortnight.

I don't think it makes that much difference either way. Unless someone has some insight on Champions vs. Home Court Advantage...that'd be interesting to see.

NBA.com: Home-court is an advantage ... especially in the Playoffs

Well, maybe ban the western conference, run over LeBron and D Rose with a forklift....then shoot Carmelo and D Williams and the Indianpolis bridesmaids can finally be their mans 7th option?

Because seriously, outside of injury opening a window for them they haven't gone anywhere in over a decade.

30 teams. 16 will make the playoffs. only 4-6 teams actually have a chance of winning.

1. How is the offseason being short a bad thing? I love basketball. The more basketball the better.
2. So basically, you want the MLB format.
3. I disagree.
4. 2/2/1/1/1 > 2/3/2.
