by now everyone has read/heard the audio by the owner of the clippers. clearly his racist white buddies are angry and he has to answer to them for every instagram post his mistress shows the world with "black people in it."

if you were in the NBA, would you play for such an owner? i don't think it matters because he keeps business as business and i am sure other racist owners are also around in the NBA. this old foggie just got caught with his jim-crow-upbringing out in public on 21st century technology. even if you are white, it would make for an odd position as your black teammates may treat you bad as retribution for how they view the owner. as a black or hispanic guy, would you overlook his understanding of your race/culture or would you jump ship/sign elsewhere?

I pick dignity over money so no. Donald Sterling is scum, but in his defense he is from an older generation and obviously has been living under a rock for the last several decades. How else could he be so ignorant to the social changes in this country over the last 50 years.

Or he's wiser and has more experience than we would understand.

He simply stated what every other race feels, no matter the age.

His points regarding race relations and norms in America were true, although not everyone has to follow them..But It's his personal feelings that have people in an uproar. If he doesn't like black people, then why is he an NBA owner? Why would you willingly want to associate with black people in the work place? Why is he dating a woman who is half black?

Bigger question why is he dating a woman that is young enough to be his grand-daughter?...he is a despicable human being on soooo many levels...

Most likely because he is sexually attracted to non-White women while at the same time being a racist. This is something that isn't new when you look at history. White slave masters were well known for sleeping with their Black female slaves and that didn't stop them from being some of the most hardcore racist this country has ever seen.

This is no surprise. He's been known to be a racist for quite some time now, but now he's been recorded on tape saying it.

"In November of 2009, Sterling settled the suit with the U.S. department of justice for $2.73 million, the largest ever obtained by the government in a discrimination case involving apartment rentals. In LA, Sterling just said no to rent to non-Koreans in Koreatown and just said hell-no to African Americans looking for property in plush Beverly Hills. Sterling, who has a Blagojevichian flair for the language, says he did not like to rent to "Hispanics" because, "Hispanics smoke, drink and just hang around the building." He also stated "Black tenants smell and attract vermin."

He also makes it sound like his being racist is a business decision by the circles he is in. This is going to expand beyond the NBA and go into corporate America and politics.
