And he went 1-6 from the 3 point line...

Can anyone explain why he takes so many 3's?

Just my observation. He's not the same player he was. He cannot explode past people as much as he used to so he uses his 3 point shot to set up his drive more.

The Mavs avoid being swept by the Suns this year after a 106-103 win in Dallas last night. But first, they coughed up an in-bounds pass with 5 seconds left to watch Phoenix put up one more bad 3 before they got the rebound and were able to finally clinch the victory.

He shouldn't be the same player. The old Rose keeps blowing out his knee. He is going to have to re-invent himself if he desires any staying power.

You were on the money w/ Parker - although I haven't watched the meat of the game. I only saw the 4thQ. I am set up to watch the replay this morning at 11:00.

I will say that it was the first time I saw the subs for the Spurs get beat down. KJ McDaniels was playing volleyball out there.

Nope.

However, I am pretty sure there has never been a division as successful as the SW Division. I am hoping the Pelicans make the 8th spot for the whole division to make the playoffs. That would be unprecedented anywhere.

Dang it - I forgot Astros have started up and they have an afternoon game. And I'm going to miss the Friday game unless I check the late night replay because my son for some reason has a 9:45 basketball tournament game.

I'll be at tomorrow's game, look for Spurs fans about 5 rows off the floor behind rockets bench

He's averaging five 3-pointers per game this season so six is not out of the norm.
In fact, he averaged five 3-point attempts per game in his last full season as well ('10-11).
