Draymond Green is saying it's all on him, but he played his heart out and was the main contributor.
No doubt the loss is on the splash brothers particularly Curry. He had some terrible turnovers and in general looked so slow and without coordination pretty much this entire series.
Last four minutes scoreless from the field.
That is not MVP material.
If those two had gone off to the tune of 30, 40 apiece, would have been an entirely different scenario.
Even at that though, the Warriors certainly had their chances. But they wilted physically and mentally from the pressure.
That and Ezeli's foul on Lebron sealed the deal for Cleveland.
Also a waste of a good game from Draymond Green. Apparently he was the only Warrior that got the memo that a Game 7 was taking place on Sunday night.
Curry was worn out. He looked tired the whole series to me.
In the latter games, the Cavs made him work on defense. When have you ever seen Curry get in that much foul trouble? How many times was Curry laid out on the floor from him fighting through screens. Other teams did not make him work on defense.

Draymond was the only one who played with heart. I was really impressed by him. Curry? Naw. Awful turnovers, jacking up stupid shots, easily beatable on defense. Thompson? Some good streaks, but overall not the guy he needed to be.
Green was a beast last night. Unfortunately for the Warriors, so was LeBron, Kyrie, Tristan Thompson, even K Love grabbed double digit rebounds.

That pursuit of Durant doesn't seem so bad now..
many fans will be so disappointed this summer....Durant and LeBron ain't leaving their teams...the real biggest free agent this season is Al horford

Curry just looked like an old man this entire series.
I don't know what was wrong with him but for sure the Cavs and Lue deserve credit for designing it so that Curry was expending so much energy on both ends of the floor. Without legs, there is no shot.
James made incredible defensive plays, but Kevin Love's switch play on Curry on the offensive play (after Irving's dagger three pointer) deserves mention. Love did great pounding the boards, but his defense on Curry was awesome. He kept harassing Curry, forcing Curry to awkwardly throw the ball to Green. Green gave the ball back and Love was still playing great D, forcing Curry to shoot an awkward three pointer which was completely off the mark.
My take? I had a bad feeling about the whole push to 73 wins, and they looked tired, especially Curry. Irving was in midseason form due to his injury and Lebron played out of his mind. I hope Kerr learned his lesson in not letting players dictate their minutes and questioning players when they routinely shoot behind the arc on the fast break. Those are two things his mentor Popovich would've never allowed.
And Harrison Barnes can't leave a Oakland fast enough. The Warriors can sign a defensive specialist to replace his offense over the summer.

Nobody was talking about the push for 73 wins after the Warriors handily beat Cleveland on the road to take a decisive 3-1 series lead. They were headed back to Oakland to tidily close out the the series in five games until...
...the Suspension.
Mentally, they never recovered from that. I think they felt the series should have been over in 5 games and they let that bother them a bit too much instead of focusing on the task at hand. You could hear the irritation in Kerr's tone after Game 6. You have to put that out of your head and stay in the moment.
John McEnroe says that champions have short memories. They don't let the last point dictate what happens during the next point.

Maybe it was that extra game of rest Green had, that none of the other Warriors had...
Curry has taken those shots all year... now they are stupid shots.
The Cavs had a lot to do with why GSW played the way they did.
Watched 2.5 hours of Sports Center in the middle of the night. Going on about 2 hours of sleep- pardon the random thoughts and the run-ons. Loads to talk about the Warriors and this series.
I'm 35 and it may take another 35 years for one of the Cleveland three to win another title so I'll cherish this after the shock runs off.
It took the right game plan (going at Curry, crowding the shooters, playing tough interior basketball), Lebron playing out of his mind for 2 games and 1 quarter, Irving outplaying his MVP counterpart and some luck to bring it home. It is tough to say this all could happen again.
Back in April- I mentioned Lebron has the script and the great actor he is he ran with this role- taking down the Regular season total win holders- showing an MVP prowess- giving the first title to Cleveland since 1964- fulfilling a promise- making it halfway to his not 1 not 2 not 3 speech.
But what about Kyrie Irving became one of my favorites last night- stoic press conference- his shot over Curry- ice cold emotion and razor sharp focus in one of the biggest moments the Cavs and City of Cleveland encountered. Honestly, I argued Waiters was every bit as good of a player a few years ago- and I was of course wrong. If Lebron stays and as he grows older- the final 24 with a game on the line- Lebron needs to be a spectator to Mr. Irving.
JR- looks like the positive off the court happenings have made him a better person and basketball player. I've been a JR fan. I hope Gilbert opens up the check book.
