Objectivity check: Was Michael Jordan a better passer than Lebron James?

Let's let the series at least get to game one before speculating.
Of course. Did I state otherwise?

You obviously don't know what the word "speculate" means.

And you don't know what a mediocre basketball team looks like apparently.

I'd have to refer you to Ish or RealGM - the topic has been to death.

Here's a 49 page discussion: Better passer: Michael Jordan Vs. Lebron James - Message Board Basketball Forum - InsideHoops

General consensus seems to be that it's close. Lebron up until this point averaged 6.9 assist compared to 5.9 for Jordan (Jordan up until age 32).

In the playoffs it's even closer. Jordan averaged 6.5 apg vs 6.7 apg for Lebron.

Lebron is a player that is MUCH more ball dominant compared to Jordan so it's not surprising that he averages slightly more assist.

I knew you would Google it and come back with that thread.

I guess "it's close" between Jordan and Lebron when it comes to scoring too.

Of course - I'd rather be efficient rather than rehashing point/counterpoints that have been beaten to death.

They are both greats, but what it comes down to:

Per 100 Possessions in Playoffs:

JORDAN:. 43.7 pts (49.9% shooting) + 8.2 ast = 51.9
LEBRON:. 36.4 pts (47.7% shooting) + 8.7 ast = 45.1
___________________________________
+6.8 JORDAN ADVANTAGE with better shooting percentage

He's just better. Only a small fringe of Lebron fans are still doing the Lebron vs Jordan stuff.
