News is pretty slow in the off season so thought I'd share. We don't really get many hoppers around here. Went to check out and saw him and a young man in the next line. It took me a a few minutes to think if it was him and if I should even ask. As Pee Wee walked away I said "Is that your dad" then "what's his name". He said "Pee Wee Kirkland". As I smiled he said he'll take a picture with you if you want". Unfortunately, my phone died but they were nice enough to use their phone and send it to me. We talked hoops for a few minutes, but he was pretty surprised that a young guy even knew who he was. I said something about how today's game would really favor a guard that could score like him. He got into talking about his college career/playing with Bob Dandridge and the Big O tapping him on the shoulder to talk while in the Garden watching a Knicks game a few months back (can't remember what he said they discussed). Another man about 75 walked over and said "I told you people in NC know about you".
