The Warriors player didn't give him space to land. Looked like a dirty play.
Didn't look dirty to me.
His first sprain happened as he got up from the floor, just a freak minor tweak. So his ankle was already weak and when he landed on that play after the shot attempt it just gave out.
Anyhow like I said I hate it when injuries decide games/series.
Old man Manu will rally the troops like he did last week!
Now they don't have a true leader on the floor to control the clock and generate offense. It's sad because the spurs looked like they was going to be able to steal Game 1 but I just don't think they will be able to hold off the GS offense.
Tons of basketball to be played, but just for fun let's say the Spurs beat GSW and go on to win it all...do we start saying Kwahi takes the torch from Lebron with potential to out rank him all time?
At 25 he could have:
2x Finals MVP
2x Champion
3x DPOY
That would be better resume than Kobe or Lebron at his age. Kobe had 3 titles but no Finals MVPs/DPOY awards. If Pop sticks around, you almost know he would compete for more titles and awards over the next 10 years.
Keep that in the other thread, Skip. No chicken counting. Kawhi isn't even playing right now.
Since Game 2 is Tuesday I am confident Kawhi won't be playing in that game so the spurs need to find a way to hold on this lead and steal game 1. And that way Game 3 is not until Next saturday which would give Leonard plenty of time to recover.
If they don't hold on to this lead and lose, I see them going back to SA down 0-2
I don't know, I think the Spurs will still pull this one off.
Throughout the game, every rebound and bounce that count seems to favor the Spurs. Just one of those games.
The Warriors make a huge run but every time the Spurs have an answer. So much expended energy by the Warriors, all Spurs have to do now is not to panic, and they've answered everything the Warriors have thrown at them so far so it looks good for the Spurs.
