Let's see how these finals go and we can revisit this topic.
My dog P can't kill the Lebron hate lol. Damn, it's okay to admit he's great...

The 2017 Spurs are the first 60-win team the Warriors have played in the past three years. Here's the opponents both have beaten:

2015:

Cavs: W Celtics (40-42); W Bulls (50-32); W Hawks (60-22); L Warriors (67-15)
Warriors: W Pelicans (45-37); W Grizzlies (55-27); W Rockets (56-26); W Cavs (53-29)

2016:

Cavs: W Pistons (44-38); W Hawks (48-34); W Raptors (56-26); W Warriors (73-9)
Warriors: W Rockets (41-41); W Blazers (44-38); W Thunder (55-27); L Cavs (57-25)

2017:

Cavs: W Pacers (42-40); W Raptors (51-31); now playing Celtics (53-29)
Warriors: W Blazers (41-41); W Jazz (51-31); now playing Spurs (61-21)

Y'all act like the Warriors have had to run through fire to get to The Finals. For three years, they've faced pretty much equal competition!

I doubt they'll be betting favorites but it's definitely an even draw in the real world. I believe the Warriors have been favorites in all of their regular season matchups and I don't see that changing unless someone gets hurt and the Spurs force a Game 7.

Lebron has no help...meanwhile Love drops 32/12 and Thompson 20/9 like it's nothing.

I think this is the Love the Cavs have wanted to see. Pound down in the block a little and let it rain from 3. I like how they're trying to keep him away from Olyenik, which I think is a wise decision. Cavs are firing on all cylinders right now, so you want to alleviate as much risk as possible. Is it just me, or is Lebron destroying teams using his left hand more in this year's playoffs? From dunks, to 12 footers, to layups. His left hand has been ballin.

To challenge golden state you need a team of players who can score and Cleveland has that in the starting five and coming off the bench.

He's physically playing like he's 25.

In 2015 his back was bad. We all talk about Curry being banged up last year, but Lebron was not right all year. He was healthy last year. This year he's healthy and the pressure is off.

He deferred quite a bit to Kyrie in the Finals last year and it paid off. Kyrie came up bigger than clutch in those Finals. I'm not discrediting Leblock or the dunk that he literally tried to vaporize Draymond Green with, but Kyrie balled out in last year's Finals. If that dunk would have been an and 1, the internet would have broken.

I don't think Lebron has forgotten that and is now letting Kyrie take the backseat, so he can ball out and show out.

Speaking of dunks, big shout out to Avery Bradley for taking it to the King for an attempted and 1 dunk last night. It got the Celtics crowd fired up and I think Lebron respected him for that. No one likes to be dunked on, but Avery Bradley truly tried to breath some life into the Celtics last night. With IT's height disadvantage, I expect to see him frustrated all series. Al Horford is the right choice, until he plays a team with a very confident front court. Then he just disappears. He's just not aggressive enough to me. He's like LA light.

We don't have a specific mod who covers basketball--but there have been a few reports in the last few days come in.

Regarding one--let's not get into personal attacks here. K?

Regarding another-methinks there is a previous banned member back again spreading his joy on the bball forum. I'll look into this little situation.

Thanks!

Why, because he dead weight during much of the regular season. Now wipe your eyes and prepare to see him go down in the Finals. Leonard is his equal and is preparing to pass him at light speed

I'd watch that mouth too if I were you....
Why shouldn't the best basketball player in the world (and possibly in history) get praised? And he is remarkably consistent, year in year out you almost never see bad box scores from Lebron. I'd say he's a darn fine human being too. Family man, good husband, good father, and very generous in the community.

I don't want to diminish Leonard in upping Lebron but please, Kawhi will need years to pass Lebron in accomplishments. And Lebron is better than Kawhi in passing, ball-handling, rebounding, defensive playmaking, leadership (Kawhi is only recently becoming a leader), and go-to scoring. Statistically Leonard has had only one season as good as Lebron's 14.

Dead weight, please...
