To be fair i think top 10 players of all time should be ranked on individual success as well....Of course championships is the measuring stick but can we honestly say Russell is better than the greatest player ever statistically speaking in Wilt...

What about the Walking Triple double that was Oscar Robertson ?

Guys like Iverson and Malone poured their heart out but just didn't have enough help to win a chip

Magic is arguably the greatest because he's the best leader we ever seen....

But if we look at individual success the top 10 will drastically change

I wanna break down the greatest players ever by looking at how many seasons they were at the top,i think if a player can put up 27 - 30 ppg a season than that's still elite from an individual level...

Larry Bird ( 3 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Dwayne Wade ( 3 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Allen Iverson ( 7 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Dominique Wilkins ( 7 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Lebron James ( 8 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Carmelo Anthony ( 4 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Kevin Durant ( 6 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Kobe Bryant ( 9 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Oscar Robertson ( 8 seasons of avg 27 - 30 ppg + 9 Rebs/Ast

Jerry West ( 7 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Adrian Dantley ( 6 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Elgin Baylor ( 4 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

George Gervin ( 5 seasons avg 27 - 30+ppg )

Micheal Jordan ( 11 seasons avg 27 - 30+ ppg )

Wilt Chamberlain ( 10 seasons avg 27 - 30+ppg )

Abdul Jabbar ( 7 seasons avg 27 - 30+ppg )

Karl Malone ( 8 seasons avg 27 - 30+ppg )

Shaquille O'neal ( 7 seasons avg 27 - 30+ppg )

But without title's, stats alone won't get you into the top 10.

Your metric takes away from guys like Duncan.
More to being great than scoring.

Yes that's true, just figured that scoring is the hardest part about the game. It's why i left off Magic but said he's arguably the greatest leader ever. Also different positions will ask a player to do different things.

Plus with various team styles and rules in place it's a lot harder to put up 30ppg in some eras than others.

1. Wilt Chamberlain
2. Oscar Robertson
3. Jordan
4. Kobe Bryant
5. Abdul Jabbar
6. Hakeem Olajuwon
7. Magic Johnson
8. Shaquille O'Neal
I know I am going to **** off a lot of people with the two listed below.
9. Charles Barkley
10. Steph Curry. No one has ever shot like him. No one has been unanimous MVP ever during the time when Lebron James obsession, the hand picked chosen one of the NBA is still in effect.

Kevin Durant. Never seen anyone built like him do what he does. He is a unicorn. Clearly has been the best player in the NBA for years.
Never been impressed with Lebron's game. I think its is lack of midrange jump shot. To me he should have a double double every night but he is just not aggressive player. No memorable moment. No signature move.
The top 10 list amazed me when they played. I remember them for signature moves.

I think you should stop smoking crack if you think LeBron and Magic are not Top 5.

Don't a lot of people have Magic and/or Lebron outside the top 5? One could make their case for Wilt, Kareem, Jordan, Russell plus 1 other player that isn't Magic/Lebron.

Lebron is really overrated to me. When I look at his game nothing jumps out at me. When I think about basketball history of great players I cannot place him in the top ten. Lebron flopping is the first imagine I have in my head when I hear his name. Second thing I think of is his lack of 4th quarter presence.
It's fine with me people put Lebron in the top five or top 10. He does a great job at taking advantage of the lack of competition in the EAST and gets himself in the playoffs every year. I will give him credit for that. I think people are only in awe of what is right in front of them instead of yester year. I don't fault you or anyone for that but when someone's opinion is different from yours it's not polite to insist they are on some awful drug. That is just rude and does not validate your opinion by insulting.

I put Curry at 10 because going back to 1946 no one has a shot like him. Accept it or not Curry has changed the game.
Durant is the best player in the NBA and has been for years. He is making 7 foot players develop a mid range and long range shot. Those type of players transcend the game of basketball. They make the sport great. I am glad Kevin is getting the recognition he deserves.
