That's impressive the way Randle scored 41 points on 14-19 shooting vs. Giannis (whom scored 35 points on 15-22 shooting), though Bucks still won easily.

Randle showed up for this one. You cannot fault his effort. Not much defense played by either team. Bucks shot over 60%, NY over 50%.
Knicks had 3rd best defense going in & allowed lowest points per game.
Bucks are favored to win it. I'm surprised it's not the Lakers. Like KD said, they have the shortest flight. Their fans will pack the arena too. AD always plays hard against Giannis. Sometimes this results in him playing great, other times bad, lol.

He did. I was thoroughly impressed with him. Now he has to start performing in the playoffs with this intensity. Couldn't get those stops on those pesky Bucks but Randle put on a show. No doubt about it.
That ref giving LeBron the timeout when the ball was not even in Lakers possession, is the definition of corruption or downright senility.
It literally cost the Suns a full possession with 7 seconds left and only down 2 points.
If I was NBA commissioner I'd permanently ban that ref. Instead, I bet Adam Silver bought him dinner....

It was a brilliant move by LeBron. He saw AR getting trapped and called the time out. But if you want to blame the refs you need to blame all 3. They could have gotten together after the timeout call and changed the call. They did not. Reality is Suns played a sloppy game. KD said as much after the game.
20 turnovers and Booker did not step up with a big game. And it was vintage LeBron. 15 4th quarter points. Clearly he wants this in season title.

I'd say. 500k is motivation for anyone, IMHO. This in-season tournament has brought out the best in these players.
It shows you how meaningless the game of basketball has become to these players.... They don't take pride in their performance unless additional money is promised. That's why Jokic is the greatest of this era, he never gives less than 100% effort.

Agreed! Had a crappy game against the Clips last night but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Bad games happen to the best of them.

Some of the best players bring it every night. Curry, KD, LeBron to name 3. And for LeBron I think he wants to win the first tournament and be MVP to add to his legacy. Currently the odds have him as the MVP. If the Lakers win the next two games he will get it. That appears to be his motivation not the money.
And for teams like the Pacers and Hornets. This is a chance to get some respect in the league and show they can win when the stakes are a little higher.
