You can't live on BI beaches, especially not in something so conspicuous as a tent. Also, there is no guava in the beach parks; non-native plants are intentionally kept out (which includes almost all edible fruits.) Beaches are not close to guava, public libraries, or starbucks (neither of which is guaranteed to have free internet.) Since you are inquiring about living off highly acidic, low-nutrient wild guava while dealing with the stress and trauma of homelessness, I'm sure that your "belief" in fruitarianism has no experience behind it, and you've obviously never been to Hawaii either. Don't ask followup questions; construct your pipe dreams in the place you currently live.

The person posted a similar question on the US Territory board and said that you can get free truckloads of guava and bananas on the Big Island.

Uuummmmm, as far as I know all the land in Hawaii (and elsewhere of course) is owned by someone, even if it is the state or federal government.

How would you like it if you owned a piece of property and had food growing on it and someone came in and took whatever they wanted? At least ask before you take!

The original question was about prices... at the local Farmers Market right now I typically get 5 "solo" papayas, about the size of a softball each, for $1. End of day, if they have any left they're often 7 for $1.

Small avocados 50 cents, huge avos $1.50 - $2. Bananas $2 big bunch

Big cukes $1. Sack of 5 Maui onions, $2. Local pineapple $2

A few of the things I just brought home.
