plus where do i get a Hawaii style of a dream catcher for hanging in the house for catching the bad dreams before they come into the dream world ..

i have one from my mother as a gift when i left for my first duty station in the military and it hangs inside the place and i would like to have one for hawaiian style if they do make one in the style ..

Before the hippie era made them a counterculture favorite of the 60s, dream catchers were only a tradition of the Chippewa tribe, originally clustered around the Great Lakes.. If you do find someone to make you a "Hawai'ian style dream catcher," be aware that that it won't be anything authentic or coming from native Hawai'ian tradition.

Also, kahuna doesn't exactly translate to "priest," or "reverend," but is more like our word "Master" since there were three distinctly different types of kahunas in Hawai'ian tradition, only one of which performed religious rites, although all practiced rituals. There were kahunas who made canoes, kahunas who were expert navigators, kahunas who were herbal healers, kahunas who presided over funerals. etc. But all were condemned as sorcerers by original Christian Missionaries and driven underground. In 2001 kahunas were allowed to get licenses to perform legal weddings, or to be herbal healers.

Here's one guy who is licensed to do weddings, Kahu Silva. Perhaps he can do your blessing, or refer you to someone who does. Hali'a Aloha - Authentic Traditional Hawaiian Weddings performed by Kahuna (Reverend) Silva (http://www.hawaiialohaspirit.com/blessings.htm - broken link)
