I will be on the Big Island for several months and while there, I hope to upgrade my beginner's uke to something a bit better. Would like to receive suggestions as to dependable vendors of ukes on the island. I bought my uke at Costco in Kona two years ago and it has certainly served me well.

Three that I have had good experiences with...
Hilo Guitars and Ukes, at 56 Ponaawai downtown near the park. Long time good business. They used to be a Kamaka dealer, now seem to concentrate on other nice high end lines. Taylor dealer. They also have uke lessons. Talk to Ken.
