That's the one, MyrrMade. But I think she found someone already. Should be coming up again in year though.

Maybe your friend should consider taking in wild rescue donkeys from the Kona side. Their population has exploded, they've become pests, and there have been serious discussions about just shooting them.

OK, back to Hilo apartments...

Hey, OpenD, you stole my line!

There's enough burros and the occasional wild horse in Waipio that needs a home to worry about shipping in any more. They paid a lot of money to ship extra burros to the mainland not too long ago so if your Puna friend needs more critters, they can probably get them pretty easily.

It's hard enough finding inexpensive (relatively speaking) apartments. Then to find them that will take a small pet like a cat or a dog. Can you imagine trying to find an apartment that will let you have a horse?

Well, Hilo Lagoon let me have my horse...but then, he was 3,500 miles away

But, I agree, why on earth bring MORE critters over when there are plenty in need right at hand? Shipping burros to the mainland, WOW What an undertaking!

I noticed, too, a curious absence of HAY on the B.I. Just pasture and cubes. Interesting....

Interesting about the wild donkeys. Can you get a permit to shoot them? They'd make good dog food.

But back to apartments. Probably not going to be allowed to have a donkey in an apartment unless you claim it is a service animal.
