Will the climate be comfortable enough to have patio party every evening? And starting at what time?

That depends on where you are at. Volcoldo (ok, Volcano) probably not.

A patio party every evening? 365 days of the year? BTW, it's called a "lanai" here.

Have you done any reading at all on this forum about the weather and micro climates on the Big Island? There have been lots of discussions about how the weather can vary so greatly depending on whether you are on the windward side or the leeward side and depending on the altitude. And, yes, the weather does vary some with the seasons.

You've given no information at all and seem so ignorant of Hawaii that I wonder if you are a troll. If you aren't, then I apologize, but you really need to do some real research on your own before coming back and asking more realistic questions.

Indeed! What a bizarre question to ask, without even giving a zip code. And then, tolerance for cold varies from individual to individual. I'll have to say that I've been to a bunch of outdoor evening parties all over the East side, at a variety of elevations, and pretty much everyone was wearing jackets or fleece at every single one of those parties, ranging from September to present.

Well, for the first year or so, it will be easy for you to have patio parties, but as you grow accustomed to the climate, all of a sudden you will start to feel cold in the winters here. Although, I suppose you could then just wear a jacket and still throw a party on the lanai. A lot of this also is determined by who you invite to your parties. Local folks freeze easy, but you could bribe them with laulau or something tasty. Also, exactly where your lanai (patio) is can make a big difference. Higher elevations get colder, so if you are above 1,500 feet in elevation install a hot tub on your lanai and then probably folks will show up even if it is cold out.

I'm the thread starter. I'm interested to know about Hilo's climate. What time of day is comfortable for outdoor activities throughout the year.

Does your patio even want a party every evening? How many other patios will be attending?
Start time shall depend upon their curfews.

Check the weather info on the City Data Profile https://www.city-data.com/city/Hilo-Hawaii.html

This time of year the average temp is about 70F, with a low of 63 and a high of 80. Summer months it's all about 5 degrees warmer. IOW, it's all good. Throw on a hoodie if it's cool, strip down a little if it's warm.

What time should we be there, and what's the address?

Temperature wise, it's good 24/7/365 and if you don't mind intermittent showers, it's always good.

Yes, you can have a patio party every night. In higher elevations, you might need to use a propane patio heater or a fire pit.

In Hilo, you will probbaly prefer to have a covered patio ( lanai ) because of the rain.

In some locations, you will probably want to have a screened in patio because of the mosquitoes.

Thinking of the expense of throwing a party every night 365 days a year and thinking you must have won the lottery. Good for you.
