Blah, blah, blah...... Next time ask the driver about it. Tell the driver your views of it. Then report back.

Free speech is one thing, breaking the law is another.

Ask the driver why he or she is breaking the law? No, I'll call the police and give them something to do.

Typical person from the mainland. Should have left the mainland attitude with you before you moved.... Too bad you have to live with Hawaiians. I guess you should start a petition for a reservation like the native americans got.....

Do your own police work. Take the license plate. When at home check the eCourt Kokua website out.

All traffic violations are noted there plus name of driver. Needs a bit to figure it out, but it is pretty much self explanatory. Now if there aren't any violations the name or car is not in there! But be assured, when independence or anti-police slogans are on the truck, there WILL BE violations! The petty ones are driving without seat belt, expired safety, parking violations, forgotten papers. But often the risky ones like non insured, no driving license, speeding, etc. But more than you imagine the crazy ones, like drunk driving causing accidents. Skipping court appearance once, twice. Losing the license and being caught doing the same again. And again. And again.

On the same website is the Ho'ohiki website for criminal records. There you can check the name of the car owner you just learned. You often find the usual stuff like abuse of family member, threats, public intoxication etc.

Then you type the name into Facebook, and bingo!, you see the guy who had cut you off on the road or weaved dangerously in and out of traffic. Here he is making babies while being drunk and/or stoned on the beach with different ladies, girls, and mamas. Waving flags upside down and playing the 'hoods biggest baller in other pictures. You know now who to avoid at Costco or at The Pines.

Give him some social stigma by describing his record and behavior here on this board or any of the other local digital news paper forums. Anonymously of course, because you have a life to lose while this guy obviously doesn't care about his own, yours or any other. You may see him doing a landscapers job for a neighbor of yours. Advise the neighbor so he won't hire him again.

No confrontation face to face, but don't back down--your tax dollars are being spend on his welfare.

In a sovereign Hawaii a monarch exercising supreme authority would not give you free speech.Just club you in the head and throw your sorry butt in a fish pond .

Lucky you live in America .

if your rant was about safety stickers there would be no need to mention "bogus sovereign nation" "defend Hawaii" or say "they seem to not like the US. you want to remind them, one nation under god, indivisible, like it or not, the us is here to stay".

your rant is about a political position you don't approve of, it has nothing to do with safety stickers. if you looked hard enough you will find cars without current safety and registration stickers all over they have no bumper stickers or bumper stickers that cover all types of things, from baby on board to ads for red bull.

(Mod im not talking about hawaiian sovereignty issues but talking about history)

Some one needs to research history. For the record the last monarchies were constitutionally electted. The last queen was so loved by her people that they wrote a mele/song "Onipa'a Ka Pua O Ka Hala" For her

The song describes her reign and the love and resepct she received from her people. As well as the pride of the people not only for their country, but for their queen.

Its simple, the truth and answers if one seeks are in the culture of hawaii.
