As I do not wish to clutter an other popular thread w inconsequential-to-the-topic static, I propose we settle this in this fashion. As an appreciative and fairly new to the forums member, I have found OD'S posts to be informative and consistantly helpful. Therefore I throw my support his way, and begin this thread, so that those in agreement may follow suit.
If there is someone OTHER than his antagonist who would like to begin a thread for that person, please do.
Rules are simple. Post ONLY positive remarks in a fan club...

disclaimer - Creation of this thread does not imply that the OP agrees with ALL of OD's positions, only that he appreciates the time, effort, and considerations made, and the non-inflammatory presentation of same.

Thank You!

Open D is indeed very useful, helpful, and very knowledgeable . Just don't ever disagree with him or criticize Hawaii in any way.

Well, to emulate the great pontificator himself, if you were to read the TOS, as you should have done prior to joining this forum, you would realize that this is not the appropriate forum for such a thread.

That was about to be my question, as there seems to be no appropriate forum.
I did read the TOS.... I've just read it again... and the rules, which are pretty much a repeat of TOS.
Both you folks are hijacking my thread!
Almost everyone here breaks TOS just by typing Aloha!
I do not suggest rep... it is legal to 'recomend'... No attacks or defamation made...
*Heavy Sigh*

Thanks Rex, I appreciate the positive shout-out, but it's totally unnecessary.

I'm quite clear that a lot of people do get where I'm coming from, and a lot of people appreciate the work I have put into making the information I provide here as accurate as possible. I have countless messages of thanks in my PM folder, in addition to what people have posted online.

And I'm just as clear that a few others here are not fans, or have different opinions, or disagree with my viewpoints, or don't like the way I write, or whatever. That's natural, and to be expected. No hay problema. (That's no problem.)

Then there's a small number of haters who are just negative or snarky by nature or contrarian or have some agenda or hate being confronted by my well researched facts or whatever else sets them off, and I just have to keep reminding myself that it's not really personal... we're all just electronic phantasms here..., that the internet brings out the worst in some people, and that "you can't win them all."

In any case I will continue to be an advocate for harmony and civility, and expressing Aloha for all the people, even when we disagree.

Mahalo nui loa (Thank you very much)

OpenD

I believe that OpenD is an valuable member of this forum. Thou i may disagree with his pro corporate america and mainland interests ideals i still think he is a very valuable member. But so is McFrostyJ, Jungjohann, Whtwiper1, Jonah K and the other 1,000 that post here. I think its difficult in our current society to not make everything a competition, because thats the american way. But honestly live and let live, voicing a different reality is ok. Stink from making things a competition is not good and is totaly that five letter word we all hate. Anyway Aloha.

Actually, "aloha" is a Hawaiian "loanword" that was incorporated into the English language. "Poi," "hula," "ukulele," "lei", "lūʻau,"and "wiki" are some other ones.

As for OpenD, I view him as a fellow "aspiring polymath" and I'm amazed that he finds the free time to post as much as he does on CD.
