Good Music at the Hilo Farmer's Market (live, prices)

I found the website today for the Hilo Farmer's Market, and it had some videos of various musicians who have played there. Really enjoyed hearing most of these folks. When we lived there 11 or 12 years ago there was very little music presence at the market, which I didn't understand because we knew quite a lot of musicians. Nice that it isn't just the usual slack key stuff too, which tends to put me to sleep.

We look forward to a possible move back at some point in the future. The wife's son in Hilo has been keeping us abreast of the continuing downtown homeless issues, increasing crime, and crazy housing prices, but the vibe from these videos was like old times for me. Things do change everywhere, that's just how it goes, but it's refreshing to see that the market is still going strong, and better and bigger than ever. It's a great place to meet people and shop for food at prices a lot lower that KTA and Safeway. I especially liked the couple w/ the Punatic type look and sound, and the gal playing keyboards, which was apparently recorded at Richardson's? People sure look different than they do here in Florida, and I miss that look. Everyone at the market sure looks a lot younger than when we left too, while we look 12 years older! That's fine, as we're really about 16 going on 60. Or, I might be considered 2 years old going on 64, depending on who you talk to :[ But I'm working on that.

Obviously not the musically inclined place to put this. Anyway, I really liked the music, and the nice vibes from the videos.
